Yamasemi, the Forest of Rest

One of the joys of hill climbing is replenishing your energy with local gourmet delights. At the dining area, you can enjoy curry made with Maetsue vegetables, "Shikameshi Onigiri" made with venison from Oku-Hita, coffee brewed with water from the foot of Mt. Gozen, and other precious menu items that can only be tasted here. At the specialty products direct sales store, along with vegetables, you'll find mountain honey from rare Japanese honeybees, and locally made processed goods. The star product, "karintou," is perfect for replenishing energy during cycling. Look for the warm wooden sign and be sure to stop by.
