Amagase Hot Spring Town

Boasting 1,300 years of history, it's one of Oita's three most famous onsens. With the Kusu River flowing between the lush mountains, the hot spring town is both serene and liberating, letting visitors become one with nature. There are plentiful restaurants and cafes in the area befitting a hot spring resort, and the local footbaths make it a great location for slow-paced cycling adventures.

A hot spring
with properties
that change every day!?

Tsukada Onsen Center

The hot springs at Tsukada Onsen Center are based off Moor hot springs, which contain plant-derived algae that are good for the skin, and its contents change on a daily basis. What's more, you can bathe in its waters for only 200 yen.* Weekends see a plethora of regular visitors come in from other prefectures, and evidence of its 26 years of history can be seen throughout its facilities. A bath in the soft, viscous waters there soothe both body and soul. Come visit to relieve the stress after a long journey. *As of July, 2023
