Onta Pottery Village

Experience the simple, quiet life of villagers who use water from the nearby river to create masterful works of art starting with a mortar and pestle. With a farmer's market next to the kilns, you can stop by on your ride and purchase souvenirs which you can send out via post.

by the river!

Ota Folk Art Village Kototoi no Sato

Experience the serene sights and sounds of the plentiful Ono River. Tired after a hard ride? Take off your shoes and refresh yourself in the cool, clean river water. Visitors can also draw water from "Takara no Mizu" spout, which gets its water from the sacred Mt. Hiko. The spout is open 24 hours a day.
